The Final Blog

As we finish our final assignments for this Masters program, I wish I could have spent the past month attending classes with my peers. Although I am impressed that everything worked smoothly through zoom, I much prefer the classroom experience. Taking exams from home is weirdly more stressful because everyone in my house is also working from home/ taking online classes, so it can get a bit rowdy. I hope everyone is staying calm and collected during quarantine. This is a strange and stressful time for everyone, but it is so important to keep those at risk for Covid-19 safe.

Reflecting on the past year, I have grown in many ways. This program has helped me on my path to become a dentist. Medical Pharmacology was my favorite course, and it helped me the most in studying for the DAT, with a strong core review in all physiologic processes. I am taking the DAT at the end of May, and going through all of the body systems helped round out my studies for the biology portion of the DAT. Before this program, I had a crippling fear of public speaking, and with all of the presentations I was forced to do in this program, I have come a long way- not completely there but definitely less scared. I enjoyed meeting and working with all of my peers, and I wish everyone the best in their future endeavors.

Lastly, I am so proud of everyone finishing up this semester so strong, considering all of these circumstances. I think we succeeded as a class! To all our FFAs, stay safe and healthy.
